Our services are targeted at the commercial electric consumers. We believe that commercial electric consumers behavior will evolve to accept the Internet as the primary, low-cost vehicle to help them identify and analyze supply chain behaviors that will lower their electric costs. Commercial electric consumers will soon realize they can use the Internet to make real-time or periodic assessments of whether they are getting the best deal available and what is the cost impact of their operational practices. Our EnergyManager.com service provides monthly management reports that outline the corporation's current expenditures, and provide an analysis of what those expenditures would look like under different programs and suppliers.

In order to properly manage and lower electric expenditures, it is necessary to examine the total electric supply chain. A variety of new startup companies have emerged the tend to focus on a single element of electric expenditures (e.g. how to assist consumers to shop competitive energy markets to find the cheapest spot market quote among Energy Service Providers). We think this is a short-term focus and a fundamentally flawed approach. To properly manage electric expenditures, even smaller commercial consumers will need to understand and interact with all elements of the electric supply chain. That is where we come in. We can help train your staff to understand these interfaces, or we can manage them for you. These are illustrated in the picture below.

Electric Outsource was formed in 1996 initially to help consumers in the California electric industry. Since then it has served clients across the country.

Even though many people think that opportunities are limited to states that have restructured their electric sectors, we have been successful at identifying various savings opportunities for our clients regardless of whether they are in states that have deregulated or states that have not yet deregulated. We do this by examining electricity procurement with the same scrutiny and focus as if it were any other element of a company's supply chain.

Our clients have included hospitals, universities, commercial office buildings, but no utilities. We are not funded by, nor affiliated with any utility. Unlike many other internet-based services, we do not receive "commissions", "pay-backs", or any financial reward for recommendations we develop. This means that our only focus is to help you, the commercial electric consumer to better manage your electric expenditures.

The firm was built around senior utility experts who had either provided consulting services, or who had worked with most of the leading utilities in the United States.

EOI has in place a network of over 15 affiliate-consulting partners with extensive experience in the utility sector. These personnel can support any client energy-related need. They are drawn from a variety of energy management and services backgrounds. This includes senior positions with consulting organizations such as McKinsey & Company, as well as leading service firms such as Stone & Webster, General Electric, and many utilities themselves.

We do not have affiliate agreements with Utilities, Energy Service Providers, Equipment Vendors, or any other entity that pays us to deliver business to them. We believe too many of the new energy industry participants have agreements behind the scenes that impair their objectivity
